Nordic public transport organisation — client name withheld under NDA

Lead developer of the React component library behind the organisation’s digital products — built from scratch, published to NPM, and adopted by most product teams. Responsibility for component API design, versioning, and releases.

  • Started with a few inherited components; everything else — API design, release process, Storybook documentation — was designed from scratch.
  • Because the library was adopted by many teams, it required consistent versioning, backward compatibility, and usability across different technologies.

Nordic public transport organisation — client name withheld under NDA

Lead frontend developer of a customer portal for a metropolitan public transport system, in a team of four — a multilingual Next.js application with strict public-sector requirements for accessibility and security, and integration with many different APIs. Also the team’s security champion.

  • Architecture and security design of sensitive scenarios — a parent acting on behalf of a child, verification of discount entitlement from a mobile wallet app.
  • Also contributed to the organisation’s public website, ticket e-shop, and the portal backend in Nest.js.
  • As security champion: completed training, responsible for threat modelling and for driving security practices and tools into projects.

Ad-loading platform and editorial development

Major Czech media house — client name withheld under NDA

Design and implementation of an ad-loading library running across the media house’s portfolio of news and magazine websites, serving millions of monthly visits. Later technical lead of a four-person team building an advertisement management system and editorial development.

Details
  • Analyzed ad-loading optimization opportunities, then designed the library that replaced the older solution.
  • The library handled script and dependency loading and gave all websites one declarative interface for ad loading.
  • Built on functional-programming principles with a Flux/Redux-inspired architecture, which significantly improved predictability and observability, and made more complex loading scenarios possible for the first time.
  • Product development for news and lifestyle websites using a proprietary PHP CMS and templating system with React on top.
  • Led the ad-management team as technical and architectural lead, with overlap into scrum and project management; the React application ran entirely on AWS Amplify, operated by the team itself.
